Terms of Service - Vantage Forwarding

Welcome to Vantage Forwarding. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of our freight forwarding, logistics, and related services. By booking a shipment or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Services Provided

Vantage Forwarding provides international freight forwarding services, including air freight, sea freight, express courier, customs clearance assistance, and door-to-door delivery, with a specialization in high-value goods, luxury items, and discreet shipments.

2. Quotations and Pricing

All quotes are valid for 48 hours unless otherwise stated. Final pricing may vary due to carrier rate changes, fuel surcharges, or customs fees. The rate you accept at booking is the rate you pay, subject to any agreed adjustments.

3. Payment Terms

Payment is required in full before shipment departure unless credit terms have been pre-approved. We accept bank transfer, PayPal, and major credit cards. Late payments may incur a 1.5% monthly finance charge.

4. Discretion & Confidentiality

We maintain strict confidentiality. All shipments are handled with plain packaging and neutral documentation. We do not disclose contents to third parties unless legally required.

5. Customer Responsibilities

Provide accurate and complete shipment details (description, value, HS codes, dimensions, weight).
Ensure all goods comply with export/import laws of origin and destination countries.
Supply valid commercial invoices, packing lists, and any required certificates.
Obtain any necessary export/import licenses or authorizations.

6. Customs, Duties & Taxes

You are solely responsible for all import duties, VAT, taxes, and customs clearance fees in the destination country. Vantage Forwarding acts only as your agent and is not liable for delays, seizures, or penalties caused by incorrect documentation or valuation.

7. Prohibited Items

We do not accept dangerous goods, illegal items, counterfeit goods that violate trademark laws, or any items prohibited by carrier or government regulations.

8. Liability & Limitations

Our liability is strictly limited to the lesser of the declared value or the carrier’s standard liability limit. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages. Insurance must be purchased separately if higher coverage is required.

9. Insurance

Basic carrier insurance is included. For full all-risk coverage on high-value shipments, we recommend purchasing additional cargo insurance through us or your own provider.

10. Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or failure to perform due to events beyond our reasonable control (weather, strikes, customs holds, pandemics, etc.).

11. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes shall first be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of law principles.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
